Weekdays Rock for Skydiver Training (STP)!

Weekends are definitely the most popular days for our Skydiver Training Program–of course, because that’s when most people are off work! However, as you might know we are open 7 days a week. If you have any availability to jump on weekdays, you might enjoy weekday skydiving training even more! Why?

  1. Overall slower pace of business gives you plenty of time to prep each dive thoroughly, with extra time if you need it.
  2. More instructor availability than weekends, during which increased business may delay the time you get to start jumping until after earlier arrivals are done jumping.
  3. More rig availability (usually) compared to weekends when more people are jumping.
  4. Generally, we shut down earlier on weekdays, leaving plenty of time to hang out and get to know the staff and weekday fun jumpers after jumping.
  5. Plenty of time to learn about other things between loads or during weather holds, such as packing, gear purchasing, and rigging.

Come on out and fly with us during the week, and let us know when you’re coming by contacting your instructor or calling manifest at 281-369-3337. We want to make sure we have enough instructors for everyone, so let us know if we need to call in instructors who might be taking the day off. (Hint: They are more than happy to have the extra work!)

Blue skies and happy training!

  1. Thank you for the great experience. Adam and Nick were awesome as well as the rest of the staff. I am interested in becoming more experienced, and needed some feedback on instructors fees also how to become an instructor.

    Thanks,

    1. Hey Michelle, so glad you had a great time! Jumps in our Skydiver Training Program are $150 each and include everything you need–gear, jumpsuit, goggles, video–everything. Once you are an experienced skydiver with a few years and a few hundred jumps under your belt, you can work on your instructor rating through The Ratings Center, which holds courses at our dropzone almost every week. http://www.TheRatingsCenter.com. So glad to have you in our family! čÖé

  2. Are you an older student friendly DZ. I would be close to 65 years old this coming summer. I’ve had 6 jumps so far one tandem and five AFF jumps passing Cat A jump. These jumps have been at two DZ’s. Three in MA my home state and forty minutes tunnel time plus two AFF jumps in Florida. In Florida it was determined I needed to get off medication that I’ve been prescribed for me by the Dept. of Veterans Affairs for the last twenty years. This I’ve accomplished a long process I might add. I’m willing to travel to Texas if you can give me a fair shot and an instructor committed to working with me with no preconceived ideas about my age. I am in good shape and motivated to get my A license, one step at a time. I did these jumps at 63 and 64 which is my age now. I want to complete this goal this year.

    1. Hey Stephen! We have no issue whatsoever with your age, but our manager will be in contact with you via e-mail with a couple of questions and to discuss logistics. We look forward to flying with you!
